






Welcome to Paintbox Art School!
The unique program offered at Paintbox provides people of all ages with stimulating art activities during the school term, on Saturday mornings and during school holidays throughout the year.
Paintbox is based on the belief that everyone is an artist with a creative mind, we just need to be shown the techniques to express ourselves individually. Paintbox has earned a solid reputation for offering a well organised, professional and high quality drawing and painting program.
The program has fully qualified and experienced teachers who nurture each child’s creativity by utilising a large range of media with fun and stimulating activities.
After school kids art classes - Term 4, 2025
Ignite your child’s love of art in a fun and nurturing art studio.
During the school term participants explore a large range of art materials, including graphite pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, chalk pastels, as well as watercolour, acrylic paints, and hand built pottery. The pottery is fired then painted and decorated with acrylic paints.
Focus will be on learning new drawing skills, colour mixing, colour theory and paintbrush techniques.

School Holiday Art Classes - September, 2025
These holidays let your children journey into the creative space at Paintbox. There are 2 opportunities to paint the majestic local humpback whales. Family Pair session gives you a chance to bond with your child and both paint a canvas of mother and baby whale. Or paint a beautiful monochromatic whale tale against the glasshouse mountains.
By popular demand, the axolotl has returned as an acrylic painting class. Most of these art sessions have a hand building pottery activity, during the last half of the class. Projects range from seal life and bird life tiles, highland cow and a cute house on a hill.

Childrens Classes
We provide art tuition for primary school age children in painting, drawing, mixed media and clay.

Childrens School Holiday Classes
Each school holidays Cheryl presents a series of focused classes for primary age students. These are fabulously creative sessions for all the kids who love to draw, paint, make and create hand built clay pieces.

Ladies Beginners Classes
These 2 hour classes allow freedom of topic choice. There is a strong emphasis on individual art pieces, with guidance in how to improve elements of design such as: shading, composition, and textures.
Operating during school terms throughout the year.

Paint and Sip
These 3 hour classes are great for a birthday party, hens’ night, or girls’ day out. Fun and playful session where you complete one masterpiece canvas each. No experience necessary, materials supplied.

Private One-on-one sessions
Cheryl gives you an opportunity to have private teaching. Individual art sessions completely customised for you. Inspiration, art materials, and times are available,

Pottery - hand building technique
Discover the tranquil qualities of clay and the many different techniques such as coil, pinch pot, slab, and modelling of functional pieces and artistic sculptural works. 2 hr classes.

NDIS clients
Having a wealth of experience in this area, Cheryl, with her patience and gentle manner welcomes NDIS clients and tailors a program to suit the individual.
Various time slots are available during the week.

Photography Classes
The course covers, how to use the camera, creativity in composition, artistic approaches to landscape and portraits, care of equipment.
4 session course with excursion.
